| Choose them carefully- Distance education degrees | | Posted Monday, January 23, 2006 1:38:04 PM by Kate Grant | Let's say you just completed your College Education, finished paying those education loans and you're the proud owner of a degree. Online Distance education seemed like a good idea at the time, but now, when you're facing the cruel world of work and career, you might find that not all degrees were created equal. Learning for fun is one thing, getting the job you want is quite another.
Depending on what you seek to achieve, you'll do yourself a world of good if you check what kind of a degree you'll obtain from a specific distance education college university or any other institute.
When considering Distance learning, it is best to find out first, which institute offers a distance education program with a degree that will be worth more than just the paper it's printed on. If you want to further your education and transfer to another school, and your degree was given by a non-certified institution, don't expect it to be accepted by any of the traditional colleges or Universities.
However, if you've studied online distance education at an accredited distance education institute or accredited distance education association, it is more than likely you'll get accepted. Same goes for employers. If the school was accredited by a professional organization in a specific field, chances are they'll accept the degree.
If you want to learn more about distance education programs, we suggest you check this Comparison Guide
You can also find a lot of knowledge regarding online courses, online degrees, and online education at the RCI sites.

On the other hand, according to government statistics, full-time student enrolment rate fell to 25 percent. Now 75 percent of university students are distance students." In the 20th century, the uneven redistribution of capital is attributed to the cause of problems such as social crisis, revolution and many military coups worldwide. Today, in the information age, many scholars consider the major cause of such problems as stemming from the discrepancies of the quality of education between peoples and their countries. The catchphrase of this century is 'Education is the first, Education is the second, and Education is the third.' Right to education is now considered an essential component of human rights, as important as right to life.... | |
